What we’re about…
Cork Youth Darts (CYD) started off in 2013, and since then, we are getting bigger and more popular in Cork, and around the Country. It was set up to give interested youths the chance to practice together and play competitively in an environment that is not saturated with “the pub scene”, as darts in the past is usually associated with.
CYD is affiliated with the Cork County Darts Board (CCDB) and the Irish National Darts Organisation (INDO). We manage, help and support kids from the age of 7 to 17 years, with their development and improvement within the sport of darts.
Darts has grown from strength to strength in recent years, with the help of Sky TV, the PDC and local clubs & pubs setting up teams to compete in local leagues. What CYD do is, encourage youths that have an interest in darts, to come along to our events and give it a go. CYD is a very friendly, welcoming and organised darts academy and welcome boys & Girls from the age of 7-17 of any ability to try it out.

2016/2017 All-Ireland and Munster Cup & Shield champions.

2019/2020 All-Ireland and Munster Cup & Shield champions.
The future for CYD, and darts in Cork, is looking very bright at present, due to the standard and dedication from our little superstars, and we hope to maintain this interest and attract more kids from all parts of Cork City and County.
Ciarán Teehan
Follow the footsteps of Cork’s own Ciarán Teehan, who started with CYD and has won 3 all Ireland titles, and 2 Munster titles during his time with CYD. He also went on to play for his Country, and has won the Irish masters, The Irish Grand prix, and many more national titles.
With the success Ciarán has had through CYD, the INDO and the development tour, he is now a tour card holder with the Professional Darts Corporation.
Despite what he has achieved, , Ciarán occasionally attends CYD events and is very much involved with the Cork youths. All at CYD are very proud of him and are proud to say that Ciarán is a fantastic Ambassador for Cork Youth Darts.
